In 2018, Ascender team produced a series of video messages based on the testimonies of actual tuberculosis survivors for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Department of TB Elimination (DTBE). Each story highlights the personal experiences with diagnosis and the often lengthy treatment process of each patient. TB is too often overlooked by medical providers in the United States. This can have very damaging effects on patients. The CDC hopes this series, which is shared broadly by state-level public health departments and their other partners around the globe, will help to increase awareness.
