Happy Juneteenth!
We shot much of this footage 5 years ago in Historic Five Points, in Denver, Colorado. It was our first time shooting a Juneteenth Festival, but even more momentous because that weekend we were producing our first black foodways project.
This journey has been incredibly rewarding. We are eternally grateful for all that we have learned, all the talented black culinary talents we have met and been blessed to worked with, and all of the great food we have tasted, since. Our interest, understanding and technical capacity to tell these stories has grown substantially since then.
